Do I need a life coach?

No, you don’t.

Nobody needs a life coach but a lot of people have benefited from having one.

When you hire a life coach, you’re hiring someone who can give you an outside perspective and who can offer you tools that will help you incorporate what you want into your life. 

When you learn how to self coach, you gain  transferable skills that will see you through almost any situation in life. 

Simply put, life coaching is there to help you achieve what you want faster and with less pain. 

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a method to create change in your life. While therapy focuses on the past and trying to come to terms with it, coaching focuses on the future and creating something better for yourself. While we may delve a little into what is holding you back, we won’t stay there but will, instead, use it as springboard to change.

What type of people hire a coach?

There is no one type of person that hires a coach. I’ve worked with everyone from students studying acting to administrative assistants to senior level pentagon advisors. Coaching works for anyone who wants to change something in their life but isn’t sure how to get there or what is holding them back

What can I expect if I work with you?

We will work together to map out an overview of the current state of your life, what you hope to get from our sessions, and what is blocking you. You’ll discover what your values, beliefs and habitual thinking patterns are and how they affect your everyday life. 

We’ll create new patterns and habits based on what is most important to you and what will bring the best results for you. In the end you should have a great understanding of who you are and what makes you tick as well as how you can make use of your most beneficial qualities.

I also am a Reiki master/teacher and if adding in a few Reiki sessions is something you’re interested in adding to your work with me then that can be arranged.

How long can I expect to wait before I see changes in my life

 

That depends on how much effort you’re willing to commit to. While I’ve seen dramatic change in one or two sessions, it usually takes 2-3 months of work to make lasting change. With that said, you should start to gain deep understanding of yourself, your motivations and how to move forward with this knowledge within the first couple of weeks of working with me

What are your rates?

My rates are $1299 for 9 one hour sessions, $799 for 6 one hour sessions and $149 for 1 one hour session.

If this seems too expensive for you, think of it this way – for the price of an average vacation, you can change your life forever. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that kind of what we’re all secretly hoping for when we go on vacation anyway?

How long will we work together

Because not everyone works the same, I give you the choice to use all the sessions in one day (or weekend) or you can spread them out over a few months. My only rule is that all of the sessions must be used within 8 months of purchase.

Also, on a side note, I don’t personally suggest using them all in one day or weekend because it usually takes time for you to absorb the realizations you’re having and will want to become comfortable with trying new ways of being in the world.  

Every client is different and finds the change they’re looking for at different speeds however,  a few months time frame is what works best for most people.

I leave the choice to you and we can also decide as we go along.

What methods do you use to help me find calm everyday in my chaotic life?

It varies from person to person but, in essence, I use traditional coaching methods combined with cognitive-behavioural, emotional intelligence and mindfulness techniques that are designed to fit in with your personality, values and beliefs.

You should be able to easily incorporate these methods into your everyday life. The approaches will help you gain a full understanding of why you react the way you do, how you can not let your habitual patterns dictate your actions and how to create a road to success in your life.

How is this different than stress management?

Personally, I find that a lot of stress management techniques are cookie cutter in their approach. That doesn’t work for me so I created a way to work with each person’s unique circumstances and personality.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that works with a person’s chakras. Clinical studies have been done that have shown marked decreases in physical and emotional stress and is becoming widely used in hospitals around the world. I never force this on anyone as I know that it may be too woo-woo for most people however, if it is something you’re interested in, I’m happy to talk to you about adding it into the package you purchase.

How will I know if coaching is working for me?

You should have a better understanding of yourself and how you react to stress. Permanent change begins with understanding the issues that create the situation and what blocks you from moving past it.

After one or two sessions, you don’t feel that you have a better understanding of yourself and how you can create more calm in your life then you can cancel any further sessions with me and have your money refunded back..

What are the next steps I should take if I want to work with you?

Choosing a coach shouldn’t be done flippantly. Like anyone you’re going to spend quality time with, you want to first make sure that you get along well enough and that you have confidence in me.

The first thing you should do is ask yourself if you’re ready for a change. If the answer is yes then I invite you to send me a message (below) to arrange for a complementary call to see if I’m the right coach for you.

If we decide to work together, we’ll set up a time for our first session together. Much like when you sign up for any course, I’ll ask you to send the payment in full before our first call.
